Old Friends sitting by the Fire is a piece developed in writing class. It was originally over 600 words long. When it came time to create 100 word stories for Micro Madness, it seemed apparent that much of it was filler and that only 98 of the words on the page were required.
It was selected as one of 22 finalists in the No Theme Micro of the 2020 Micro Madness competition, and was published on June 3rd.
